Area of Responsibility: POSITION OBJECTIVE: Responsible for the entire on-air product, the PD governs the sound of the station. With control over production, talent, work schedules, and program schedules, the PD’s programming objectives support the goals of the General Manager and VP of Programming.
Duties
Essential Qualifications: 1.Experienced Leader. 2.Ratings track record. 3.On-air suitability 4.Knows and understands about working within the guidelines of the rules of the FCC. 5.Proficient organizational skills, meet deadlines, accurate follow-through on all projects, and assist others as needed. 6.Handles more than one assignment at a time and perform quickly under pressure situations. 7.Work in compliance with Company policies and procedures. 8.Maintain a positive and cooperative rapport with staff, management, and clients. 9.Work effectively in a team environment. 10.Consistently works hours required. Works more when required to meet deadlines including weekends, holidays, and evenings. 11.Project an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor. 12.Receive, process, and maintain information through oral and/or written communication effectively.
